NW KS | Ok should have specified. You calibrate to the monitor/flow meter so only as accurate as it is. I'd say on average within 1% of the monitor per load. Main reason I wanted one was for the exterior display while loading rather than relying on hose sight guage. We have some uneven terrain doesn't seem to impact it noticeably to me.
But yes you are correct will only be accurate to whatever is used to calibrate it.
Also prior to calibrating I would verify your monitor/flowmeter is dialed in as close as you can get by spraying out a known quantity of water a few loads if you aren't confident it is real accurate.
