If you decide to not change the sleeves and pistons I would definitely consider rolling in new bearings. 8000 hours is about the time to do that. Also check the turbo, I had to change out mine around those hours, amazing how much power that engine puts out when the turbo is actually working. That old beast is cheap horsepower and so easy to work on, good luck. |
