Subject: RE: Load out chute for hogs

Can you make the base out of solid concrete?? Hogs are used to walking on concrete and it isnt noisy,,,other reason is trucks backing up will always hit it too hard and crush a pipe or wood one,,,a SOLID concrete one the truck doesnt crush ,eventually. Then make a flip over floor thing that covers the 'crack' and maybe some extendable sides that locks in place to take up the up and down cracks on both sides. Independent of one another in the case the truck isnt exactly square!!

MY question is ---IF this is on the north side and severe slope,,,are they gonna be able to get in and out in winter time ice and snow??? What provisions for that?? I dont think a tractor could even pull a semi of hogs up steep slope full of ice and snow. Cant they back in from a different direction to avoid the slope?? OR cut the hill so it is LEVEL drive out?? IF trucks cant easy get in and out,,,they wont haul, period. Unhappy truckers are NOT fun and soon NO trucks will come to bad facilities A tractor loader can always move the snow in the cut,or snow blower!!
