Aberdeen MS | I had all the fun I needed many years ago when the feedlot was full with 750 head of fats and a 35 beef cow herd right after a 2 day blizzard that killed the power.
No backup generator, no snow blower, only spot that offered enough traction to start the feed tractor with the little 25 HP tractor was a 72' enclosed shed around the silos. That was after you hand dug out the doors....LOL.
Carry hay bales into the lot 2 at a time, and for the couple of cows that calved early... carry snow into the basement to put on the backup wood stove to get water and carry that back out to the barn in knee deep snow so the cow kept milking.
FUN you say and I have none of it???? hehehe. To many memories to relate to for fun, don't need to relive it again.....LMAO. | |
