| agreed. Those acres went in for a reason. A majority probably shouldn't have been farmed in the first place. There is going to be significant expense to getting CRP up and producing as well as a time lag. I think there is fear that by the time that ground gets up and going the goodie will be gone from the market so lets just re-enroll at a higher level and lock in a sure thing. Besides, the tree huggers have too much power to let that much 'habitat' go to crop production at once. | |
