For every trade there is an equal an offsetting trade. I get a chuckle out of trade reports that say today there was heavy long volume. Yea, well there was just as many short positions also. While a particular individual may well profit or lose from his personal positions.The market as a whole does not generate wealth, it only redistributes it among its players.
