| I don't remember much about it, at that point in time I was just busy working 20 hour days trying to get as much done as possible, Dad handled the selling side of the grain. We were way underpowered and often ran tractors 24/7 to keep up.
I do remember a few years later a story going around about a neighbor who had 2 years worth of beans stored when they hit $10 and he hung on them so long that the elevator took ownership of them to offset the storage bill. He ended up with nothing for 2 years crop. It was a true story, not just rumor though. | |
