| I am wondering what would be the best fence to construct to contain several hundred pregnant dairy heifers on approx 130 acres. These heifers are off site away from the dairy. I want it to be moderately priced yet can not tolerate heifers loose and or frequent repairs/ adjustments. I was looking at what the elk producers use in out area which is a round cedar post with a high (6-8 ft panel). Or do you go with the high tensile type fence. I plan on using at least one electric wire on the inside to keep the cattle away from it or will that be a maintenance headach down the road? I want something pretty substantial if they get spooked and starting running. Thank you for any input. | |
