Hutchinson, MN | On our dairy we have used the two piece Z-tags for 6 yrs, all pre-printed. I'm a little surprized but we haven't lost a single one (saying that probably jinxed my luck). The ones we've used are the calf size tag in the front, and the small animal (w/ pre-printed #'s) on the back. The older ones no longer can be read, but it looks like they changed their printing process in about 2005, all the ones newer than that look like they will last forever. All our cattle eat thru headlocks from the time the calves leave individual pens. I put them on the babies, and am able to be careful about placement then. | |
