Greene County, Illinois
I don't see any of these New Yorkers or Left Coasters doing anything themselves to alleviate the food for fuel debate. Last year in the U.S. alone, we spent over $41 BILLION on pets, over half of that for pet food, largely made up of meat by-products in canned food or CORN in dry formulations. I don't see any vegetarian dogs and cats out there. I just read where the pet population in China is exploding along with the human population. Why should the American farmer get blamed for everything that is out of our control? It's the price of crude oil that's driving up the cost of all other oils. Just FOOD for thought.
