| I was talking to a guy last night that is a Union Pipefitter and has a kid in the same class as our oldest. He has been doing quite a bit of the bidding as of late. He says that companies like Kraft and CAT are bidding jobs, but holding off on doing them. The particular Kraft plant did a 5 million expansion last year, but now act like they don't have money to work on the rest of the plant. I would think 5 million would be petty cash to a company like Kraft. And those aren't the only two, he said he's probably bid a dozen jobs in the last month and every one of them are holding off. Don't know really what to think. Is this just a reaction to the stock market? Most of these are public companies. Do they know something we don't? Just thought I'd throw it out there. | |
