Little River, TX

My only intention is to emphasize there is no single correct answer to planting alfalfa following alfalfa.

The reason for the hear emphases was to not suggest he follow alfalfa with alfalfa, there. Just be aware of the possibility that  auto toxicity for alfalfa just may be over blown.

If there is a weakness in our Extension Service and or AFGC it a denial that conditions are different in other parts of the country.

Personally I look more to Oklahoma for alfalfa growing information more than Texas because alfalfa in Texas is a very minor crop. I also look to New Mexico and California for information that pertains to arid western conditions. For eastern conditions I look to Kentucky.
