| Actually those first self propelled modles , (1045, and the 1046 later on) were designed to haul both the three wire and two wire bales. The only adjustments that were needed were to change the pickup attachment. Only took a few minutes. You are right on the edge part with the three tie bales, but it didnt matter if the two tie bales were on edge or flat....The older machines were only able to stack 6 high on three stringers with 8 bales to the layer. You could go 7 high with two stringers and 10 to a layer if you were carefull.... | |
