Subject: Re: mono slope buildings

west central Iowa
We are in NW IA and have a Morton building with alleyway in center of building and pens on both sides. We get extremely cold and windy in the winter. We adjust ventilation doors at least twice a day, or we can completely close the building up for snow storms. We try to keep it about 20-25 degrees inside. Ventilation and moisture (humidity) are definately the most important considerations for healthy cattle!! We insulated roof as rust preventative. We should have laid some flashing on top of trusses to keep birds from picking at insulation.

Just another idea to look at.
