Missouri | Lets make sure problem is identified. Coccidiosis is blood in stool. Will be lots of it and will turn fatal. Corid is very effective, it is off lable bad but just put 10-15 cc direct into mouth from a syringe. Calf will froth and need some water, do that once a day till better or dies. Good luck, they do come out of it. Cause is usually stress and it is contagious to other cattle. Often time weaning and bad weather like hurricane rains for a week can set a healthy calf on fire. Treat with something for shipping fever if you think it will live, because just get the first problem taken care of and next starts. Banamine and Nuflor is good. | |
