Western Nebraska | A couple of weeks ago there was a question about fencing materials. I have finally got some pictures taken of our corral. We use 9 strands of 12 gauge wire with a top rail about 6 ft off the ground. We drilled holes through railroad ties instead of stapling to the face of the tie. I used spool type wire tighteners to stretch the wire. The ends are attached to the end ties with Quik-ends from Kencove.
