| Another option is to set up Dropbox or Google Drive on your phone so it mirrors your pictures to the cloud, which will then be synchronized to your computer. It's easier then to resize pictures in plain old Microsoft Paint, for instance down to 25% or more (I did one just now at 10% of the original phone resolution and it's big enough, see below), and saving it as a .jpg or .png file to get the picture size compressed even more.
