We had bought several loads of calves on the Friday before the Mad Cow that Stole Christmas to take delivery in March and April. I was hoping you could forfeit the down money and walk, but the fine print on the back said you were responsible for market difference to the seller if you couln't take delivery. Kind of a sick feeling for a while, but by the time we took delivery we had them bought right, anyway.
