Southeast Colorado | I'm no nutrition expert but we bale forage sorghum almost every year and feed it to cattle. We mainly grow sudan crosses but the forage sorghum qualifies for an ldp (which hasn't been an issue the last couple of years) so we started growing it. Usually it tests right at 10% protein and the cattle love it. I've been told not to graze it but baling is fine. | |
