I've looked at sorghum and sudan grass, because it does grow well here, but I've always been scared of nitrates with it. Folks around here even have nitrate toxicites in hay barley rolled up in a bale. Doesn't sorghum have the same nitrate problems when it is drought stressed. I looked more at corn because I'd never heard nitrate issues with it until now.
