| I would have a tough time paying more than market cow price simply for the fact that the cows are all 9+ months from calving......that is figuring that they are even breedable. If there has been a bull with the cows and they are open, I think there is more than management problems. There are probably repro problems that are going to take nutrition and meds to overcome.
Also, the beef price is not very strong and feed prices are still high enough here that a break even is not going to be easy with a good herd let alone a mismanaged herd.
It's just my opinion so take it for what its worth.
