| Don't take this the wrong way , but $$9 milk will send lots of marginal cows to slaughter. I bet Feb. and Mar. kill numbers will show much higher than normal. B&W's will lead the way. My personal opinion is that CWT took bids last summer when they shouldn't have. The Dec buyout was justified. I think another will be coming , but I would rather see guys feel the pinch. Some will try to hold out for the buyout. Free market should take care of things first, then another round of buyouts. Possibly a clause in the buyout contract to stay out of production for 1 year. | |
