NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I weighed some of the pigs today with just a hanging scale. I don't know how accurate it is but the biggest pig I could find weighed 60-65# & the smallest was around 30#. I have the pig broker coming tomorrow to grade them. There is going to be a lot culls, it's one of the poorer looking group of feeders I've had in a long time. In hindsight I should have rejected the load after the first 30 to 40 head came off the truck. I don't understand why people ship junk along with good pigs. It just make me grade them that much harder. I'm trying to get my vet down at the same time we grade them for another opinion. We're going to discuss the weight situation tomorrow. | |
