MN | Our coop leaves the scale head turned out so everyone can use it at off hours. You can't count on the trucker weighing the night before as that means he would have to be in before the scale closed which isn't always the case. I know the livestock truckers around us come in later than the coop closes - we see them going in at night, and we know that they are up and at it early in the morning to load the next loads. I would trust the trucker if your eyeball says they weigh about that much. The only difference would be the amount of fuel weight and if the trucker jumped out of the truck to weigh. | |
