| To make it short I am way new to the forum along with feeding cattle. I feed just a few head of steers for the freezers of my friends annually. I farm a few acres on the side along with a job in town to support my habits. I don't have any haying equipment or ground that I want to remove from row crop production. Therefore, what would be the problems with feeding cracked corn, dried distillers, and cornstalks as my only form of roughage? I also might ad that the barn where I live is 1/3 full of small squares of straw. Could that be my roughage also? The past 2 years I have used old grass hay from a relatives barn for free and I am going to run out. Thanks for the input. | |
